It all started right when Fidel told me she was craving for karē (curry). We both have our own favorite restaurant for karē, and right at that moment we decided to go to Grand Indonesia just for the sake of fulfilling our cravings. Since it's she and I again, the "jalan-jalan" will be another episode of Girls In The City. It's our seventh episode and we're so delighted to tag along someone as well! It's Tiara. She's been wanting to come along with us since the first episode but because of her tight schedule, most of the time she couldn't come with us. This time though, we planned everything out and we made sure Tiara could go. The first intention was actually going to Planetarium, since it's been years since our last visit to this place and we would like to rewind our rusty childhood memories. Planetarium is a great place to visit when you need some refreshing to see stars at nights and probably take some time off from the hectic city life and enjoy your time. Not to mention that the entrance ticket is much cheaper than I last remembered, hmn...

We of course took the chance to roam around the mall because we were waiting for the show time at Planetarium which started at 5.30 pm on week days. So because we were in the hippest mall in Jakarta right at that moment, we looked around to snap some more photos. Honestly I rarely go the mall unless I want to buy some new clothes. I'd rather spend my money on food street vendor or little cafes instead to get my favorite coffee or bubble tea. Malls aren't really my hang out place. ALSO, you have to see how I held back the pain of walking on heeled boots for eight fucking hours going from one place to the other and even chasing the train. I abused my feet too much :(

Pretend you don't see this one...
After fooling around until it was almost the show time, we went straight to our next destination: Planetarium, which you can always google that place on Gmaps. It wasn't too far from Grand Indonesia but since we were quite blind with directions, we took a taxi to get there. Planetarium on week days was so quiet and unpacked. It's as if we were the only one attending the show yesterday! I wonder if people still go to this place for a quick entertainment with their family.
Mandatory selfie inside the studio before the show started.
After the show, we walked around Taman Ismail Marzuki to snap more photos because Tiara said we didn't take enough photos that day. As I told you before, it's been years since I last visited TIM and Planetarium. So you can imagine how surprised I was to discover such building did exist here. It was so Instagram-able, as how Mancah would describe, and beautiful as well. Jakarta in the evening was quite enjoyable. You can find many young kids and teenagers playing sports like soccer or skate-boarding. Such pleasant view~
We. Are. Happy. Kids.
I look like a lioness with that hair orz

Okay so fortunately there was an art exhibition held at Taman Ismail Marzuki as well and as usual, we couldn't miss this one because it was one held by UNJ (Jakarta State University). The exhibition was mind-blowing. Just like this one. You see this piece of art from afar and you'll catch a picture of a mother holding her baby. But if you look closely, you can see that the picture is made from a group of nails being put together creating the picture. Wicked, isn't it?

And of course, my outfit of the day.
H&M long shirt (or coat?), Nevada plaid pants, Lacoste sling bag, IconNinety9 shoes
This place is totally good for taking your ootd photos, honestly saying. You just have to tag along someone with good photography skill who knows well about angles and all. You're gonna love the ambience here, trust me. And so I guess that'll be the end of today's post. I'm so excited because I scored seven posts this January! I usually just leave one or four posts a month because of the hectic college life. So happy because I got to update the blog during my holiday :D 'Till then, have a nice day! xx
Hi guys! It's been such a looong long time I haven't been here! I miss blogging so much, really! I'm sorry I keep neglecting this blog because, you know, sometimes real life could be such a pain in the ass. I've been dealing with a lot of problems these past few weeks. As you might have known, I just graduated from high school and was going to university this year. So I had several tests and took all the chances. It was the main reason why I hadn't been able to update the blog with anything. But now that I just got accepted in UGM as a law student, I don't have to use my time to study for the tests anymore! Though I am faced with another obstacle (which is the orientation days) and I have to prepare everything perfectly before I move out to Jogjakarta. I'm gonna leave the town this Saturday, and because I have the best friends in the world, they told me they wanted to arrange GITC's last episode before I leave. I was in the middle of doing my essay, but there's no way I would refuse the offer. So here you go, the last episode of Girls In The City with destination: TMII. Enjoy the photos!
You know those cool images of girls taking their photos through the rear mirror of their cars spreading all over the internet? Duh I've been wanting to do that! I mean, they usually do it during their trips so I can't just take my camera when I go to the malls and snap one lmao that would have less meaningful story behind it. But just yesterday when we were waiting for some of our friends back from the toilet, I took one! Mission accomplished, yay :D

It was such an awesome trip. I had so much fun with them, and sad too. Because I'll leave the town the day after tomorrow on Saturday night and won't come back until new year. That is if I get any vacation for new year. Most of the time my brother doesn't get home even on new year because the exam schedule is pretty messy in UGM. You only get a few days off for new year before you face a week full of exam. But at least my last few days in here were awesome. Thank's guys. I hope we can continue GITC next time when I get home. Thank you, I love you.
I gotta run now. Packing stuffs and be ready for my orientation days at college. Adios! xx

Holla! So I guess I can't wait any longer to post about my GITC trip last Sunday to Gallery of Indonesia. We went there because of Fidel's invitation to roam around the gallery since there was a Japanese exhibition held there. I was going to refuse it truth be honest because for godsake I had an angklung recital the day before and I was soooo tired and worn out. But thinking of this is going to be GITC's next episode, I changed my mind and agreed to come along! Went there with our best fellows too, Hika and Amel. Hika's going to apply for Japanese literature in UI and she's always up for things like this—the ones that smell Japanese and such. So of course we had no option rather than taking her with us!
Speaking of which, the first time me and Fidel started this GITC series was kind of random. I remember we went to Pacific Place in Jakarta to get our concert tickets and went roaming around the spots around aimlessly just because there were just too many good photo spot. Our first "guest" was Ghina, a sweet junior of mine, and since we're all kpop lovers, taking the name from Super Junior's photobook title, Boys In The City that has taken until 4 episodes—which the last one took place in Paris—we decided to just call ours, Girls In The City. Simply because we're girls (of course duh) and the main aim of this little trips is to have as much fun as you can! We would pick someone to come along with us, and spend time on streets, take as many pictures as we want, laugh like an idiot, and most important, to taste foods we never had the chance! Before this one, I posted the one we had to UI, it's supposed to be our 4th episode. The third one took place in Gallery of Indonesia too, but I lost most of the photos because my hard disk is broken :( Anyway, just scroll down to see what GITC did this time!

Left a message written in Japanese teehee ;D

Fidel wanted to try Ragusa after postponing the idea for such a long time, so we made it there for quick dessert before lunch (or dinner, was it?). Though we only ate ice cream, it was my second time after my last visit to Ragusa. Apparently it has been 10 years ago??? Haha it's been that long! The place hasn't changed much, still as vintage-looking as ever. And the ice cream still tastes as good as the first time I tried it ^^

And of course, my outfit of the day;

Loving the shoes that come from ICONinety9, which I got on a very good bargain during new year. This pair is a twin with mom's so whenever we wear them people will recognize it quickly that the shoes match each other ;D It's totally comfortable, wore it for hours walking to one place to the other, crossing the streets, standing for God knows how long waiting for the commuter, running across streets, and even until I got home I didn't get any blisters! And I had a quite tough day walking through the city in skirts. I'm gonna learn how to drive properly now even on highways so that I can drive myself to Jakarta when needed, and don't have to take public transportation, fuhhh. Trust me I'm not the type who can take public transportation into good mood :$
Well then, see you when I see you! xx
