Buatku, The Body Shop itu salah satu brand yang ada di antara mahal dan nggak mahal. Beberapa produknya ada yang murah, tapi kebanyakan suka bikin mikir jutaan kali buat dibeli. Makanya kenapa setiap kali mereka ada diskon besar-besaran, aku nggak pernah absen buat ikutan beli hehe. Kali ini aku berkesempatan buat nyobain body yogurt mereka yang varian Wonderfully Wonky Banana. Dari namanya aja udah langsung hijau mataku, karena pisang itu buah favoritku! Senang banget waktu tahu produk ini ikut kena diskon 50% dari harga normal Rp. 199.000 jadi Rp. 99.000 aja!

Jadi awalnya aku bertanya-tanya, apa sih maksudnya 'wonky banana'? Karena setahuku, wonky itu artinya kurang lebih seperti bengkok. Nah habis baca dari websitenya The Body Shop, ternyata varian body yogurt Wonky Banana ini diperkaya dengan puree pisang organik dari Community Trade yang tidak akan dijual ke industri makanan karena bentuknya kurang menarik. Kalau kalian sering lihat ada pisang yang bentuknya beda sendiri, atau nggak sesuai kemauan pasar, nah produk ini terbuat dari semua pisang-pisang itu!

Sebelumnya aku belum pernah cobain produk body yogurt-nya The Body Shop, aku malah baru tahu mereka punya produk ini. Jadi waktu pertama beli nggak ada ekspektasi apa-apa. Begitu aku cobain, ternyata enak banget di kulit. Teksturnya nggak berat sama sekali di kulit, nggak bikin lengket ataupun jadi plisket nggak nyaman. Makanya kenapa namanya body yogurt karena rasanya persis kayak yogurt di kulit!

Untuk wanginya sendiri, dia jauh lebih enak dibandingkan sama varian pisang lainnya dari The Body Shop. Yang ini nggak terlalu kentara kalau artificial, artinya masih kecium wangi manis khas pisang. Wanginya juga tahan cukup lama di badan. Dan yang kusuka lagi adalah kalau dipakai pas badan masih dalam kondisi basah gitu nggak bikin jadi nggak nyaman.

As a person who comes from a middle-class family, The Body Shop is a little out of my "comfort zone" to be quite honest. When everybody can at least buy their products without having to think of how to save up money afterwards, I have to save up my pocket money to at least afford dicount items lol. But hey! I don't mind! It makes the whole saving money journey even worth the while because I love the excitement of buying new stuffs for myself after waiting for some time.

Anyway, I have only shopped once from The Body Shop and it was years ago. Okay, not exactly years ago, probably somewhere in early 2016. I bought a perfume, the strawberry one and it was for the sake of my ex-boyfriend because he really liked the smell. True, the smell was everything. You can never go wrong with The Body Shop's perfumes. This time though, I scored a different type of item; their shower gel. I don't typically spend a lot of money just for my bathroom needs but I couldn't help myself not to try this one when the whole store was throwing off a massive discount on most of their items! I got this one on sale and I didn't regret any single drop of it. It smells so good, it's hydrating, the smell stays for hours after you take a bath.

I can't recommend you enough to try The Body Shop's shower gel variants as well, if you haven't. Since it seems like I'm the only person in this planet that hasn't taken this brand seriously haha!
